MAJOR OBJECTIVE

  • The RetireWise programme is designed to provide a thorough understanding of how to manage one’s personal finances in preparation for retirement, at the point of retirement and after retirement.
  • The programme deals with the psychological aspects of retirement and the individual’s reaction to certain stimuli
  • The programme facilitates taking responsibility for one’s own financial affairs with knowledge and confidence, enabling retirees to survive and enjoy their retirement years

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Pictorial graphics and question and answer type manual setup in a delegate workbook are used to communicate basic financial concepts relating to one’s retirement.  The concepts are related to the individual’s personal financial situation.  Discussion exercises in small groups facilitate the transfer of learning into the delegate’s own life experiences.

DURATION

Course duration is two days.  Presented in company.  Further programmes can be conducted by licensed Instructors on a modular basis.

FOR WHOM INTENDED

All non-management employees with limited education.  All employees who have limited understanding of personal finances and/or retirement concepts.  The programme does accommodate individuals with limited reading capacity as well as those with a greater degree of literacy.
